Podcast

What was your initial concept for your final project and what were the reasons behind your choices?

My initial concept for my FMP is a podcast and a website and the reasons behind my choice was the lack of resources we have in the world regarding women rights and freedom of movement. I felt it was the perfect opportunity to create something special. My audience is 14 and above as I think that's a perfect age to learn, and integrate the important part of history. My project is on women's rights and is essential to show the change in history and what women went through back in the day. My motivation to pick women's rights as my fundamental topic was truly simple and basic as I wanted to show awareness and try to implement change in the world.

While conducting my research I found out that many people lacked knowledge of women's rights which in turn gave me more motivation and further developed my final product. I felt like making this project would enhance people's knowledge and educate them on social issues. My primary research consisted of my own knowledge which I converged together and I also created a survey that I sent to my peers. My secondary research was quite sizable although I had knowledge of my chosen topic there was some research that needed to be done, my research consisted of finding out the evolution of women's rights and the overall growth of women's historical social voting rights. I also explored by researching and exploring the different assortment for my intro sounds and tuning in and examining podcast recordings to comprehend the upsides and downsides of a digital broadcast. The depth of my research was quite fundamental as there is

I thought about my target audience quite a bit as I wanted to broaden it to a wide range of ages but I still picked teenagers from 14 and above as I felt it was the right age to learn and educate themselves on important social matters. I also understood the task at hand because I knew given the results of the survey that I created, which literally asked the question what final product works best for my topic, women's right and the results were as expected, I then charged with making a podcast and a website.

I first created a timetable to ensure I complete each task to create the best outcome. I first proceeded to write a script which took me around 45 minutes to complete and was one of the best scripts I had written given that previously I had only written a script a couple of times. I planned a lot to have the best possible podcast creation/outcome

Well essentially what I have learnt about the different types of media technologies was quite a lot of things to be honest, when I started the project I was quite confident that I knew how to construct my knowledge of different tools and try to implement them in the final productions together, but that turned too sour grapes quite quickly as I realised there were plenty of more equipment and software's I had to integrate.

The software I used were adobe audition to create my final product which was all fine as I've used them before, although the main problem occurred when I needed to use the different types of technologies such as the microphone, recording devices which I found very difficult to use. When recording using the microphone and the recording device the quality of the sound wasn't the best it can be which caused a major problem as I had to rerecord the whole audio again. I do hope to further develope my recording skills for future projects. Adobe audition and Wix were skills I did know how to use confidently and didn't have a problem editing them as I've used them throughout the course of the year.

Throughout the year I believe my the knowledge and development of my skills have improved dramatically, I've learned many things such as different types of software's like Adobe InDesign, Wix, Adobe Audition and camera skills and the various techniques which go in making projects on these software's. In the start of the year I wouldn't be able to explain and show the different types of techniques and how to create certain projects.

I need to say it wasn't all going great there were two or three stumbling blocks which I attempted to survive, a portion of the issues I figured out how to overcome them, yet some of them I was unable to cover up the faults. One issue was the sound recording I felt it didn't sound great and wasn't what I was expecting although will remember for the future projects. That's the very thing that I was unable to paper throughout in light of the fact that there was simply no time to spare and the main recording I did needed to many foundation clamor and the mic recorder continued cutting various pieces of the recording, to defeat this I needed to rapidly re-record and since its getting late timetable it distinctively hindered my results which made the podcast less energetic and exhausting to listen as well. My general idea of my last podcast isn't what I needed to accomplish and it's completely unexpected out when I was beginning the podcast project. If I somehow happened to redo this task I would utilize my time carefully to create the most ideal results for my project. For future tasks connecting with podcasting I will take point and utilize my experience for forthcoming ventures.

Website

My initial concept for my FMP is a podcast and a website and the reasons behind my choice was the lack of resources we have in the world regarding women rights and freedom of movement. I felt it was the perfect opportunity to create something special. My audience is 14 and above as I think that's a perfect age to learn, and integrate the important part of history. My project is on women's rights and is essential to show the change in history and what women went through back in the day. My motivation to pick women's rights as my fundamental topic was truly simple and basic as I wanted to show awareness and try to implement change in the world.

The plan to create my website was quite simple, as I've created a website before and was really confident in achieving my goal again.

While leading my research I figured out that many individuals needed information on ladies' freedoms which thusly gave me more inspiration and further fostered my end result. I wanted to make this venture would upgrade individuals' information and teach them on friendly issues. My essential/primary research comprised of my own insight which I united together and I likewise made a survey that I sent off to my friends for feedback. My auxiliary/extra exploration was very extensive despite the fact that I knew about my chosen topic, my research comprised of figuring out the development of women's freedoms and the general development of women's rights. My secondary Research was exploring different variety of websites for inspiration and analysing the pros and cons, that led me to potential gains and acquire skills and knowledge when I designed my own website. My primary research also consisted of the colours I had chosen which was brown, light green and white, I think the overall design and the colour coordination complimented them whole theme.

While the creation of my website was straightforward that was partly due the fact that I created a timetable which had a to do list which then enabled me to complete the website to the best of my ability.

Having said that I had to postpone the final website release as I had to wait for my podcast completion which took more time than anticipated as I wanted to add the podcast to my website to give audiences members the best possible experience.

All through the year I accept that I have learnt and progressed my skills and advancement of my abilities have improved decisively, I've learned numerous things, for example, various kinds of programming resembles Adobe InDesign, Wix, Adobe Audition and camera abilities and the different strategies which go in making projects on these product's. In the beginning of the year I wouldn't have the option to make sense of and show the various sorts of strategies and how to make specific tasks. I have 5 tabs that link to the Home, Inspiration, Women's Right, Podcast and Contact list, all tabs have features based on the selected tab and has inclusion of useful and important information. The pictures taken for my website was taken from the college campus in the women's right section I did however edit them on photoshop and changed the opacity, hue and saturation of the colour for original imagery.

I didn't have that many problems when creating my website I thought everything went well and progressed as I wanted it to.

Even if I'm satisfied with the outcome of my website I wouldn't stop there and would like to improve on things if I had the chance to change components on the website I would change the colour coordination and make it more appealing to the younger generation, for example understand what my target audience actually wants instead of what I want. Also next time if the opportunity occurred I would definitely have liked to take more pictures and go to a women's right convention for more inspiration and to make the website more appealing/ have more gravitas.
